If you are considering PLR, or Private Label Rights, articles as part of your internet marketing strategies, there are a few things to consider.
PLR comes is different shapes and sizes. You can get PLR articles that are free, while others you can purchase in packs of articles as a fairly reasonable cost. In my opinion, if you opt for PLR articles, there is probably enough available online that is free without having to resort to paying a cent. However, with anything you get online, saving a few bucks is not everything.
Recently I spent some time looking to collect a number of PLR articles for a new niche I was considering. For the most part, there was a good amount of content available, and what I needed I could find for no cost. I collected what I needed to use in my blog, modified of course so that it is not the same as every other PLR article out there. What I discovered as I started to go through the articles was horrifying!
Okay, that might seem a bit over-dramatic, but in the end I think you will agree. Some of these PLR articles were so modified by others that the content of the article itself was beyond comprehension! A tool used by internet marketers, called an article spinner, takes the original article and swaps out similar words and phrases in an attempt to make it unique. Sometimes these spinners go WAY TOO FAR. I ended up spending more time editing the article than had I written the article from scratch!
So a word of warning: make sure you read through the PLR articles before you post them. Ranking high in the search engine rankings is dependent on quality content. Not only will Google be checking out your site, so will REAL human beings! Unless you really have to resort to PLR articles, it might be best to stick to writing your own original articles.
