If you have not already heard or realized it, internet marketing for the most part is NOT an over night success story. If you have a ton of money to advertise and promote your web site and products that is great, however if not, you are in the same boat as the rest of us.
However, with time and persistence you CAN make it happen for you. I have had my web site up and working now for about 5 months, making use of article marketing, blogging, social bookmarking and adsense. One niche finally showed results – my first Clickbank product sale!
I have collected small amounts of revenue from Adsense over the last 5 months – nothing much to report, but still some money for essentially doing nothing. This last month the adsense revenue has picked up a bit on a few sites related to Halloween.
Rule of Thumb: You know the saying relating to “eggs in one basket”? Well this holds true for internet marketing. If you just choose to use one income generating strategy, you are leaving money on the table. A combination of different strategies is your best bet in making money online. While the income from Adsense has been minimal, from just one page for the month of October it generated $20. On its own that might not seem like a lot – think about it though, if you had 10 or 20 or 100 sites that just paid $20 a month from Adsense, the numbers seem a little more impressive. Keep in mind too, once the Adsense was put on my site I had very little to do to maintain it – making money while I do nothing.
While my first sale was only about $35, it was a start. If you stick with it (which many people do not) you WILL see results for your hard work. But you have to understand and accept that you have to be patience and growth of your business takes time.
